Gaining Muscle With These 5 Rules
The theory behind gaining muscle is a pretty simple one. You lay the foundation for muscle growth by intense training. Allow your body the space and time to build muscle. You provide your body with quality nutrition, that it can use to make your muscles bigger. It’s as simple as that.
Follow the plan, don’t make the mistake like so many other’s by not sticking to it. So here are 5 rules that are guaranteed to pack on the muscle. All you need to do is follow the rules.
Rule 1.
Train with the most heavy weights that you can use. Stick with good form. Stay within the limits of what you can lift. Leave your ego at home. If the weight is hard for you , then everythings great.
Rule 2.
You need to be hitting all your muscles not just a couple so stay away from little exercises. Don’t waste your time and energy on doing exercises which are not going to benefit you. Stick to exercises which are going to be more benificial to you. The deadlift for example gives your entire body a workout. Train using the large exercises.
Rule 3.
Train progressively, this means that no workout that you do will be the same. You need to keep doing more to get the muscle built up. Even if you can only manage an extra rep, it means that you are showing an improvement. The more you do, the more your muscles will grow.
Rule 4.
Start to eat healthy food. Your body needs to have the right fuel to be able to build muscle. Your body cannot create muscle out of junk food. Start eating more protein. Vegetables are great for you. Add fish to your meals. Do not go too long with out any food, try to eat every 4 hours.
Rule 5.
Try to rest plenty. This will give your body the chance to build muscle. For your body to do it’s job, so don’t train too often. You want your body to be focused on using it’s resources to build muscle. You don’t want your resources being wasted on other activities. If you want to play football, then plat football. You’ll need to get plenty of rest to gain muscle.
It’s as easy as that! Follow the 5 rules, stick to it, and watch your body build up the muscle. You need to stick to a proper plan to gain muscle.

Hi,
Great post overall. It’s always good to be reminded of the basics.
In my experience (been lifting weights for 7 years), the amount of food you eat also matters a big deal (especially for hardgainers).
Eating quality food is OK, but if you\’re not gaining weight, you need to eat more. So quality = OK, but quantity = OK too, in some cases.
Just a quick tip: took me a while to get that.
Best,
