Losing weight permanently is a goal we all want and work to achieve. Just how can we achieve it? We lose, gain, lose, gain, like a yo-yo, and we seem to gain back more than we lose each time.

People spend billions of dollars, on weight loss programs each year, and have not been successful loosing weigh, or more importantly, keeping it off, and that is the real problem.

There are as many diet plans, as people who have tried them, and few, if any, have been successful. Dieters have gone from one program to another in hopes of gaining some amount of success in loosing weight. Most unsuccessfully.

Which is the best way to achieve permanent weight loss? In this article, I will be sharing with you some simple secrets that could allow you to take the pounds off for good.

You need to take firm control of your life, and you are the only one who can do this. Others can’t do it for you. Food has become an emotional crutch, and you need to separate the two. They are two separate things, and you need to look at them as such.

Don’t concern yourself about the appearance of your body, concentrate on what your body does for you. Many women look at a magazine, and think they must look like the models in them…don’t!

The best way to make sure you keep the pounds off for good, is to lower your set point. This is basically the weight your body should weigh. What you need to do is to reduce your intake of dietary fat and increase your lean muscle mass. So, therefore, just make sure you control and assess your eating habits, and increase your exercise level to build muscle.

Cutting out fat. You need to start small and slowly. You can start to use skim milk and add no butter on breads.

If there are low fat food you’re currently consuming, continue, and add more of them.

Keep track of your fat intake. Try keeping a record of everything you eat.

Do some form of exercise everyday. I can’t stress enough just how important this is. It’s the way your body builds muscle and muscle burns fat, and more efficiently, than when not exercising. This will speed up your metabolism. Start slow and work your way to longer sessions of walking or whatever form of exercise you choose to do.

This method will not only allow you to lose all your extra weight, but will cure any diseases that might be associated with being over weight.
