What would you say if you were asked to share the hardest challenge you have had to overcome in regards to weight loss? 1. The weight loss program must provide diet plans that are well-balanced and include a variety of foods from each of the different food groups. No food group should be left out.

2. The program urges a safe and achievable weight loss per week. If a fast weight loss program tells you that you can lose 10 pounds per week, it will end up in failure.

3. Diet plans should include a minimum of 1200 calories for women and 1600 calories for men.

4. Is there and exercise component? Don’t kid yourself. Your best chance for success will include exercise. All it takes is 30 minutes a day 3-4 days a week to actively maintain your current weight. If you aren’t active, getting started can help reduce your weight and, improve your health.

5. Assess the credentials of the individuals who developed the program and of those who provide counseling or other support services.

6. What are the costs? Will the expense fit your budget? Yes, it will cost you, but you don’t have to sell your car to get an effective and successful diet plan.

7. Does the program provide any form of support for the long term? A good support system is advisable when trying to lose weight.

Weight loss is always difficult. However if you go with a sound program and diet plan and with the backup of a good support system, achieving your weight loss goals will be much easier.
