However, when you accumulate too many they will begin to settle in the body and turn into Fats. This is not a good thing. So, if you&#8217;re not normally active you should figure out a way to burn them.</p>
<p>What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you thinking about losing weight? Most people will probably answer &#8220;to go on a diet&#8221;.</p>
<p>However, this is not a good way to shed the pounds. When you just cut your calories and hope to burn the rest it will end up backfiring. You want to burn that stored fat instead of everything you consume. If you look like you lost weight within the first few days, it&#8217;s possible that this is only because you are losing water.</p>
<p>Please don&#8217;t torture yourself like that at all. Just cut down on some of the things you know aren&#8217;t good for the body like; sodas, tidbits, twinkies, etc.</p>
<p>You simply need to find the right things for your body. Sometimes individuals won&#8217;t lose weight just by taking this route, but they will definitely feel better knowing they have a healthier body.</p>
<p>The other course of action that is obvious would be exercising. Heck, just getting more active throughout the week could make a great the difference in your weight loss program. While this may be true you still have to work hard at it or you will be disappointed when it&#8217;s all said and done. Going for a walk or playing a sport can be all you need. We highly recommend something like swimming.</p>
<p>Swimming is one of those exercises that will work the whole body. Granted, you&#8217;re not going to sweat as much as someone in the gym, but you will definitely tone up and see results if you continue this route. Exercising for fat loss is achieved by increasing your metabolism, by healthy eating, regular physical activity and stress management. Organizing a diet plan is the best way to keep a consistent schedule and exercise for fat loss.</p>
<p>You can increase your metabolism by eating better. Forget about fast food restaurants, burgers, soft drinks, sugar, and everything else that can pack on the weight. These are all high in fat and contain several calories. Unfortunately your body can&#8217;t burn them all.</p>
<p>A good way to counteract this is by eating 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day. This alone can help you maintain its energy. Plus, you will see that your calories will diminish. When you eat smaller meals the body wants to burn more fat, and eventually it will target that excess body fat and use it as fuel for your daily activities.</p>
<p>A few of the activities we recommend trying is resistance training, interval training, and exercising to target multiple joints. All of these have been known to burn fat and increase your metabolism. When this occurs the body forces itself to replenish your muscles and nourish them properly. It will also continue to burn fat even after you have finished exercising for the day.</p>
<p>Training with weights is another option. No matter which one of these you choose they call all increase the metabolism. Your body will then be able to work on fixing the muscles that have been active throughout the day. In the end there is nothing like burning fat when you&#8217;re not active.</p>
<p>Keeping a grip on your stress is important as well. When you&#8217;re able to control your stress you can keep fat from developing on the body. Your body releases a hormone called Cortisol, which is what stores the fat in the stomach. The reason for this is it wants to use this fat as energy when it&#8217;s time. What it comes down to is if you control your stress it can play a major role in your fat loss diet plan. Some of the ways to do this is by deep breathing, meditation, yoga, and even tai chi.</p>
<p>Then again, it all reverts back to being organized. If you can stick to your fat loss diet plan and use a guide to keep you motivated, the results are endless. Just by constructing a plan you will be able to increase your chances of losing weight and keeping it off. Plus you will figure out what works, what doesn&#8217;t, and what changes need to be made. This way you can stay on top of the game.</p>

Research of 2,000 dieting women showed these results and while they are not that shocking, it does prove to be a good reminder that some weight loss habits are not so good. If any of this sounds like what you are dealing with, here are some tips from the women surveyed.</p>
<p>A good number of those surveyed were tempted to cheat by their friend or spouse. When someone you love is setting beside you thoroughly enjoying a calorie rich snack it is going to be hard to abstain! You need the support of your friends and loved ones, especially if they are going to be eating and drinking around you. If that does not work, keep gum handy to avoid the temptations.</p>
<p>25% were tempted when eating out at a restaurant. However good your intentions, it&#8217;s very hard to just pick a salad when you&#8217;re eating out. Try making a restaurant trip an occasional treat, rather than a weekly indulgence &#8211; good for your wallet as well as your waistline. Then you can have whatever you like, without worrying that it&#8217;ll ruin all your efforts.</p>
<p>The study found that &#8220;each woman polled had tried to slim down an average of eight times.&#8221; This isn&#8217;t much surprise, many of us attempt diet plans and don&#8217;t succeed. But, I wonder whether the anxieties about &#8220;cheating&#8221; played a role in this.</p>
<p>Healthy eating is not merely a test. There are a lot of healthy eating guidelines available even if there are not hard rules. In order to lose stored fat on your body you must take in fewer calories than you burn, over a year, month or week.</p>
<p>One meal out at a restaurant, a couple of choices which you don&#8217;t admit to, or a slip-up where you eat more than planned, doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;ve failed your diet.</p>
<p>A good 50% of the women polled admitted that they had lied about food they had consumed. Lying about it only reinforced feelings of guilt and secrecy. Try finding a friend you can talk to instead of lying about your bad day. This should be someone who will cheer you on and not judge you or make you feel worse than you already do.</p>
<p>The above tips are just a few helpful ideas when you feel like cheating on your diet plan. You can use as many or few of them as you like but keep in mind that if you do slip up the battle is not over. Start your diet plan over again the next day. The only way you fail is if you give up the diet entirely.</p>
<p>If this diet is going to be the one that succeeds, by all means avoid sources of temptation, but don&#8217;t label behavior as &#8220;cheating&#8221;. That&#8217;s the fastest way to give up altogether.</p>

<p>There are a wide variety of reasons that people want to lose weight. If you understood that some of the benefits of losing weight or a lower risk of heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, cancer and a longer life, wouldn&#8217;t you be motivated to lose those excess pounds? Certainly, the answer will be yes.</p>
<p>In addition to these health benefits, you will also feel much better and look great when you lose weight. No longer will you have to settle for the shapeless plus size clothes that resemble baggy tents. Additionally, you energy levels will increase and you will be able to move around easily.</p>
<p>I believe that there are more people concerned about their looks than the health risks of excess weight. When these people decide to try to lose weight, they often choose some crazy diet plan, hoping to lose weight quickly rather than a healthier, long term plan.</p>
<p>Seems pretty clear (to me at least!) their primary concern isn&#8217;t health. I think if we made health our top priority we&#8217;d get a bit further on the scale of success when trying to lose weight.</p>
<p>The health ramifications of being overweight or obese make for pretty dire reading. Some of the consequences are: premature death, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, breathing problems, arthritis, reproductive complications, mobility problems, depression, discrimination.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s strange that even though most people are well aware of the health problems caused by excess weight, it seems to make very little difference.</p>
<p>It seems like everyone you meet would like to lose weight. Well, nearly everyone. Today&#8217;s society has influenced the concept of what&#8217;s attractive. Being thin is most desirable, especially among women. If you are one of the people that wants or needs to lose weight, you should ask yourself exactly what your motivations are.</p>
<p>Why do you think its so hard to give up unhealthy habits and replace them with good ones? How can we find the necessary motivation to change these habits and start making our health our main priority?</p>

Your diet plan is not a crash diet that you will give up after two weeks; it should be a lifestyle change. Your diet changes must be reasonable or you will not be able to stick to them. That&#8217;s why making a few subtle changes to your eating and exercise habits may help you develop a healthy diet plan that will, in turn, help you lose weight. Sometimes, the littlest things make the biggest difference.</p>
<p>Look at the eating habits you have now and see which ones you can change. Do you have to have that candy bar for afternoon break? Or is your bad habit potato chips instead? Decide what you can easily forego or replace with better food choices that are healthier.</p>
<p>Here are a few habits you could think about altering. The secret is, replacing your bad habits with good habits. This needs to be changes that are permanent. Ask one thing, &#8220;Am I able to do this change every day from now on?&#8221;</p>
<p>Each day do you eat lunch out? Begin carrying your lunch with you 4 out of 5 days per week. Going to McDonald&#8217;s only two times weekly will dramatically impact your diet. At least cooking at your house, you understand everything that is in your food.</p>
<p>To quench your thirst only beverages like water, diet soft drinks, or tea should be drank due to them having no calories. Now if any of the beverages you drink do have some calories then they should be full of nutrients. Soda and alcohol have empty calories with no nutritional value.</p>
<p>Do you need that snack to keep you going in the afternoon? So keep plenty of low-calorie snacks on hand. Throw out the snacks high in sugar and carbohydrates.</p>
<p>Maybe your hardest time of day is when you sit down to have a big meal. While you&#8217;re cooking, eat a healthy snack &#8211; like a piece of fruit or a few low calorie crackers. Cook only what you will eat (no leftovers). If you make more than you&#8217;re supposed to eat, serve from the stove, and put leftovers away before you sit down to eat. In other words, do not have extra food sitting in front of you on the table. Do you know that a meat serving should be only as big as a deck of cards?</p>
<p>Exercise needs to be included in each day of your life. When you park the car to go shopping do it at the other end of the parking lot from whichever store you are going in. Make a plan with this too and do it each time you go to the store even in the colder months! (You burn more calories with it cold.) Use the stairs in place of an escalator or elevator. Play games of tag with your children. Take the dog for a brisk walk at least once a day. Can you set some time aside each day for exercising? Look closely at your daily regimen and plan one that you know you will follow. You will be more likely to continue doing when you like doing it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Too often people associate weight loss with constant hunger. Because of this, many people hesitate to begin a weight loss program because they would rather avoid all the frustrations that go along with hunger.</p>
<p>Many people would rather be overweight than to be hungry all the time. I know that&#8217;s how I feel. I really enjoy eating and there&#8217;s absolutely no way I would constantly be hungry just for the sake of being thin. To me, its not much of a life if you&#8217;re always hungry.</p>
<p>Our natural instinct tells us to eat when we are hungry. Hunger is a signal telling the body that it needs to eat. It is also a signal to the body that it is in danger, that it needs food now. Our self-preservation instinct makes us scarf down everything in sight in response to feelings of starvation.</p>
<p>The body doesn&#8217;t particularly care that we are living in a modern world with plenty of food. It responds exactly like it would if we lived in the wild and had to hunt for food. It&#8217;s not a good idea to go against the natural instinct that&#8217;s designed to protect us from death by starvation.</p>
<p>This may come as a real surprise, but you don&#8217;t have to experience hunger to lose weight. In fact, eating regularly and keeping yourself full will help you stick to your eating plan and reach your goals. If you are able to keep you hunger in check, you can avoid overeating. It also keeps you from feeling frustrated, out of control, and miserable.</p>
<p>Instead of eating 3 large meals every day, eat 5 or 6 small meals. When you go to long between meals, by the time you eat something you will be famished and unable to control yourself. When you eat frequent, small meals you will stay full and in total control.</p>
<p>Never skip meals. Some people think that by skipping breakfast or lunch they will save total calories, but the opposite happens. Because they go for too long without food, they end up compensating for it and then some later in the day. In addition, skipping meals slows down your metabolism, because your body feels like it&#8217;s not getting enough food. So it activates its survival instinct and burns fewer calories.</p>
<p>Another trick is to eat slower. It takes our body around 20 minutes to realize that it&#8217;s full. If you eat too fast, you will eat unnecessary calories while your body is determining whether it is still hungry. By the time it realizes that it&#8217;s full, it is too late, since you&#8217;ve already eaten more than you needed. If you eat slowly, your brain will start sending signals to stop eating just in time.</p>
<p>Never starve yourself in an effort to lose weight. It&#8217;s simply unnecessary. It make take you some time, but you have to get used to the concept that starvation is not necessary to lose weight.</p>
<p>A healthy eating plan will help you lose weight without deprivation or starvation. Weight loss can be permanent when you lose it in a healthy manner, allowing you to keep it off for good.</p>

A tablespoon out of the bucket today, tomorrow, next week will over time empty the bucket. This is not true when it comes to our bodies. When we lessen our food consumption, our bodies try to store more calories the next time we eat more than the body requires. Therefore even though we are lessening our food intake much of the time, we will not lose weight if we have additional calories some of the time.</p>
<p>Doctors hear this comment a lot: &#8220;I am dieting frequently but I cannot lose any weight.&#8221; For many individuals, losing weight is a complicated venture. No matter what they seem to do, nothing seems to change. What is happening? Discovering the problem is only part of the answer.</p>
<p>Some of the most common reasons why we don&#8217;t lose weight are:</p>
<p>Many of our social interactions include food, also, restaurants portions have increased (particularly fast food).</p>
<p>We do not exercise as much as in the past and it is unacceptable to be hungry.</p>
<p>We do not remember the additional food we consume everyday, or we think we did not eat as much as we did. Lastly, we do not understand how weight is managed.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also important to remember that when we consume fewer calories, we have a tendency to be less active, which probably stems from our biological programming to preserve body weight for survival.</p>
<p>The easy rule of weight loss is that you have to constantly burn off more calories than what you consume. Any kind of weight loss diet is acceptable as long as calorie intake is constantly decreased each day. A diet that is healthy with some amounts of veggies, fruits, grains and lean meat or fish is ideal.</p>
<p>Exercise helps, but unless you are an athlete, you will have to cut calories, too. And remember, it&#8217;s OK to be hungry when losing weight. Once a goal is achieved, every day is for maintaining. If you go back to eating more and exercising less, the weight will go right back on.</p>
<p>The majority of people do not know how much exercise is required in order to lose weight without having to cut calories. As well, exercise makes one more hungry. If a person on a diet can avoid eating more than was consumed before the diet and can burn off an extra 500 calories each day, that dieter is able to lose a pound per week.</p>
<p>If you were to walk or run for one mile, or go for five miles on a bike, that will burn off one hundred calories. If you complete five miles a day every day, and not have any more food than you were before, you stand to lose one pound a week. Alternatively, you can reduce two hundred fifty calories per day and finish two and a half miles to gain the same results.</p>
<p>Anyone is capable of losing weight. Not everyone can or should be thin, but everyone can attain a regular healthy weight. One must understand that we cannot eat all we want, whenever we want. We can eat well when food is on the table, however our food consumption must be balanced with exercise to achieve and keep at an optimal weight.</p>

Yes and no, depending on how you view it. While not much is secret per se, successful diet plans do indeed have certain common characteristics.</p>
<p>To start with, &#8220;crash course&#8221; diets are nearly always a recipe for disaster. Yes, drink nothing other than tea made from some strange Chinese herb for a week and you will lose a lot of weight. Sadly, because your body will think that it is in a state of minor starvation, it will not be fat that you are shedding. Rather, you will cannibalize muscle mass, and that results in your slowing down your metabolism. When you start eating regularly again, and you will not only gain all the weight right back, however you will be more susceptible to keeping body fat.</p>
<p>Same goes for a diet that only includes just one or a few food types for breakfast, lunch and dinner do not often work out well as well. You body does not receive the kind of variety it needs to be flourish; it is also mind-shockingly one-sided. When you fall off the wagon, you will most likely quit the diet by having a half-gallon of Rocky Road ice cream. Say goodbye to whatever progress you may have made.</p>
<p>The bottom line is: Impractical crash diets are not recommended. Successful diets work for long term results, where you can make eventual and consistent progress.</p>

When the blood sugar rises all of a sudden lets say after drinking a soda, insulin is released to deal with the sugar. Insulin also transforms the body into fat storage-mode, and will prevent any fat loss progression that you may have going.</p>
<p>Bad fats such as fries, which are loaded with trans-fat are pretty much, made to block up the cardiovascular system. Although we need fat to survive and flourish, it is far more beneficial to obtain our daily fat requirement from foods like fish, olive oil, nuts and seeds.</p>
<p>Fiber is filling and will decrease hunger and the temptation to cheat on your diet. It will assist in digestion and is good for general gut health, as well as slowing down the release of simple carbs into the blood. Less blood sugar increase means less insulin release, which will let your body, keep burning fat.</p>
<p>A cold beer may taste great; however, alcohol has a significant negative impact on your diet. Alcohol has as many calories per gram as pure fat (7 calories versus 9 calories per gram), but the toxic ingredients have a bad effect on your natural hormone balance that can bother you for days.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people associate weight loss with being hungry all the time. They&#8217;re afraid to start a weight loss diet plan because they want to avoid the frustrations of hunger.</p>
<p>Some people think is it is best to be overweight than to be constantly hungry. I am one of those people. I love to eat and I would not want to be hungry all the time just to lose weight. What type of life would you have if you always feel hungry?</p>
<p>Our body is geared to urge us to eat when we feel hunger. The feeling of hunger is the signal to our body that danger is near and that it requires food. Our instinct for self preservation causes us to consume all sorts of food when our bodies feel starved.</p>
<p>Our bodies do not know that we inhabit the world at a time when food is easy to get. It reacts the exact way it used to when we had to hunt for any food we ate. Basically we should not fight this instinct that is there to keep up us from dying from starvation.</p>
<p>Surprisingly, no one needs to feel hungry to achieve weight loss. Quite the opposite is true in fact, eating meals at regular intervals and allowing yourself to be full encourages you to stay with a healthy diet program and attain your goal weight. Making sure your hunger stays at bay will keep you from overeating. This will keep you from being frustrated, not being in control, and feeling miserable.</p>
<p>Consume 5 to 6 smaller meals frequently during the day instead of just 3 larger meals. If your meals are too far apart then you start getting that starved feeling, and will eat too much when your meal does come around. Consuming meals that are smaller and eating them more often lets you stay full and keeps you in control.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t ever miss meals. People do this thinking they will lower their intake of calories, but the reverse actually occurs. Due to being too long without food you wind up making up for it anyway somewhere later on the same day. Your metabolism will also slow down with skipping meals because your body thinks it has had all the calories it needs. This is how the body survives because it burns a lower amount of calories.</p>
<p>Another tip is slow down eating. The body does not tell itself it is full for about 20 minutes. When you eat too fast you can eat way too many calories before your body signals that it is full, because it is still saying it is hungry. Before you know you&#8217;re full you are actually too full because of overeating. But when you slowly enjoy your meal, then your brain has a chance to signal your body that it is full, and it is time to quit eating before you over consume.</p>
<p>Never starve yourself in pursuit of weight loss. There&#8217;s absolutely no need for it. Get used to the idea that losing weight does not require being hungry.</p>
<p>Losing weight in a healthy way does not involve starving or deprivation. That&#8217;s why it is permanent, if you lose weight in a healthy way, you&#8217;re likely to keep it off for good.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Healthy eating begins with learning how to &#8220;eat smart&#8221;-it&#8217;s not just what you eat, but how you eat. Your food choices can reduce your risk of illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes as well as defend against depression.</p>
<p>In order to set yourself up for success, you should work toward a healthy diet by taking a series of small, manageable steps instead of making one massive, radical change. When you approach each of these changes with commitment, one by one, you will be enjoying a healthy diet much sooner than you had imagined.</p>
<p>Rather than being obsessed with measuring portion sizes and counting calories, keep things as simple as possible. Plan your diet according to freshness, variety, and color of foods. This will make it incredibly easy to make healthier food choices. Focus on finding easy recipes that include foods you love as well as several fresh ingredients. Over time, your diet will become tastier and healthier.</p>
<p>Start slow and make changes to your eating habits over time. Trying to make your diet healthy overnight isn&#8217;t realistic or smart. Changing everything at once usually leads to cheating or giving up on your new eating plan. Make small steps, like adding a salad (full of different color vegetables) to your diet once a day or switching from butter to olive oil when cooking. As your small changes become habit, you can continue to add more healthy choices to your diet.</p>
<p>Any change that you make that improves your diet makes a difference. You don&#8217;t have to worry about being perfect or entirely eliminating foods you like in order to eat a healthy diet. The long term goal to eating healthy foods is to feel good. Wise food choices will give you more energy and reduce the risk of certain diseases. Don&#8217;t allow any slip-ups to derail your plan. Every time you make a healthy food choice makes a difference to your health.</p>
<p>Remember that moderation is key. Many people think that healthy eating has to be an all or nothing proposition, but the real foundation for a healthy diet is moderation. Regardless of what some fad diets lead you to believe, humans require a balance of protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals in order to sustain a healthy body.</p>
<p>You should never think of specific foods as &#8220;off limits&#8221;. Anytime you ban food groups or specific foods, you will naturally want these foods. When you eventually give in to temptation and eat one of the banned foods, you might feel like a failure. If you enjoy salty, sugary, or unhealthy foods, try eating them less often and reduce the portion size when you do eat them. You will eventually start craving them less often and start thinking of them as an occasional treat.</p>
<p>Think about portion sizes. Over the years, serving sizes seem to have increased, especially in restaurants. When you dine in restaurants opt for an appetizer rather than an entre or share a meal with a friend. When ordering, never supersize anything. When you eat at home use smaller plates and always consider serving sizes realistically.</p>
<p>Visual cues can help with portion sizes-your serving of meat, fish or chicken should be the size of a deck of cards. A teaspoon of oil or salad dressing is about the size of a matchbook and your slice of bread should be the size of a CD case.</p>
