<p>Bodybuilding routines are only as effective as the adherence of the practitioner to three important characteristics: a solid weight training program, a balanced diet and quality rest. There are many who are overzealous in working out but without the proper rest and diet, your training won&#8217;t be as successful as it should be.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s begin with the workout regimen. All workout sessions must always start and end with proper warm-up and stretching. This will prepare your body for the upcoming physical stress it is about to experience for the next hour. Initially, you will use lower weights but as you gain momentum in the next few sessions, aim to raise the weight load you are using. Change up the exercises every few weeks so your progress will keep pushing itself to grow in strength and size.</p>
<p>Go to the gym two to four times a week only. An average of one and a half hours is the maximum workout session you will need, provided you divide your training properly. These split workouts give you the opportunity to make most out of your training by targeting each muscle group with more intensity. An example of such a workout is to train your back and arms on Monday, your chest and abs on Wednesday and your legs on Saturday. If you are building muscle mass, keep cardiovascular workout to a minimum.</p>
<p>Because you are only training around three times a week, use the other days to focus on getting quality rest. Extreme physical activities put little tears on your muscle tissues. Rest, particularly deep sleep serves to repair these tissues, hence the stronger and bigger muscles. Look at the bulky trainers who take a sabbatical from training, they come back bigger than ever. Sure they aren&#8217;t as rock-hard as they were but at the start of your training, what you need is weight gain so you have something to work with when you work out. Rest well-it is the most stress free way to build muscle fast.</p>
<p>Having the right diet is the next great step on your journey to a massive and structurally sound physique. Again, remember that you need to put on as much weight as you can you so it can be converted to pure muscle mass in training. Make sure you get your calories from lean meat and other healthy sources of protein and carbohydrates. You can also take supplements and protein shakes that will help fill in the required nutrients in your diet while fueling your body to perform well.</p>
<p>Find a program that is best suited for your body type and level of tolerance. Study the drills and exercises you will be doing. Eat the right food and get plenty of good sleep&#8211;these are the things that make for effective bodybuilding routines. You will look great just standing there, and you will look even better when you strike a double-back bicep pose. If you develop your side deltoids in proportion to the biceps, the arms and biceps look large and well defined.</p>
<p>The shoulder region includes the posterior, medial, and anterior deltoid muscles. If you are including the whole shoulder girdle, then the rotator cuff muscles as well as the upper trapezius are included.</p>
<p>The deep rotator cuff muscles connect several parts of the thoracic region to the back, side, or front of the humerus. Upper trapezius muscles are the muscles that run from the back of the neck; extend to the medial deltoid, then downward to intersect with the middle trapezius. Going further back on the shoulder, below the lower portion of the upper trapezius, is the posterior deltoid muscle. The outer part of the shoulder is a where the medial deltoid lies, with the anterior deltoid muscle being visible outside of the pectoral muscles.</p>
<p>Each shoulder has a specific function when lifting the arm. The anterior deltoid is responsible for bringing the arm forward, inward and for rotating the arm. The medial deltoid allows the arm to move away from the side. The posterior deltoid comes into play when the arm moves back or rotates outward. When the scapula is moved upward toward the ears, like shrugging your shoulders, the upper trapezius muscle does the job. Lastly, the muscles of the rotator cuff stabilize the arm during movement and allow the arm to rotate.</p>
<p>To build up the shoulder muscles, exercises such as the military press, Arnold press, lateral raises (bent-over, lying, or standard), and neck/behind-the neck presses, should be performed. Rowing in an upright position as well as while bent over will facilitate building the shoulder area to dramatic size.</p>
<p>Indicative to building massive shoulders is the knowledge of how they work and are kept healthy. Injuries can quickly slam the brakes on any progress you are making, so take extra care to avoid them. One of the most common injuries is to the rotator cuff muscles. Rotator cuff muscles are not particularly large or strong muscles. Try to prevent injuries by including some band work into your shoulder exercises.</p>
<p>In order to reduce the risk of injury double check that you&#8217;re using the proper weights. You should be able to have control of the weight through the entire movement. If you can&#8217;t do a complete set of repetitions, or you have to adjust the position of the weight, then you need to lower the weight. Using too much weight puts too much stress on the shoulder and is likely to cause injury. The success to this is all in you using the proper technique using the full range of motion, prior to increasing the weight.</p>

<p>For instance, you can perform the military press, the power clean, the squat, the bench press and the dead lift while using a barbell. There are however, many bodybuilding exercises you can do without using a barbell, which opens more doors of successful training.</p>
<p>There are as many reasons to do bodybuilding exercises without barbells as there are people who do them. Some may want to work out at home yet have no access to a barbell.</p>
<p>Or perhaps you travel a lot, and have to use hotel gyms and the like that have a few machines and some free weights but no barbell. All of the sudden when you&#8217;re used to having barbells around and then you don&#8217;t, you realize you have been taking them for granted for all this time.</p>
<p>Alternatively, you may be looking for a way to inject some fresh life into a boring routine, or to target different sides of your body individually to help balance out weak spots and prevent injuries. Regardless of the reason, all bodybuilding exercises can be changed to be performed without the traditional barbell.</p>
<p>Starting with some simple switches, you can take the barbell out of many exercises and replace it with two dumbbells without having to change the movement itself much at all.</p>
<p>Using two dumbbells while pressing at the same time or alternating the fashion you can perform the bench press. You can perform the goblet squat by holding one dumbbell in front of your chest while during squats and you can exercise with them by holding one on either side of your body using your arms straight.</p>
<p>You can use dumbbells to perform shoulder presses or even dead lifts as you use two dumbbells in front of your feet. You do not have to include the use in your regular bodybuilding workouts for any reason if you so choose.</p>
<p>The only bodybuilding exercise mentioned above that cannot be switched directly to dumbbells is the power clean exercise. However, there are so many other good bodybuilding exercises you can do that give you good results. You may want to exercise with one arm bent over rows for the middle back. While holding dumbbells at the side of the body you can do shrugs or even consider incorporating chin-ups and push-ups to exercise your back.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t be afraid that if you lose access to a barbell you lose your bodybuilding exercises as well. Almost every great barbell exercise can be performed utilizing dumbbells, or can be replaced with other effective bodybuilding moves and routines. <p>There are lots of muscle building programs out there, and chances are, you want to gain muscle as quickly as you can.</p>
<p>Most often, the rule of thumb is, &#8220;More is better.&#8221; In other words, practice more, and you&#8217;ll get better at what you do with better results. However, with gaining muscle, most of us need to be working out less, not more.</p>
<p>You may pick up a bodybuilding magazine, for example, only to have bodybuilders tell you that you have to train every day if you want to have the physique they do. So erroneously, we think if we follow their advice, we will be big, too.</p>
<p>Unfortunately this is a mistaken assumption. Bodybuilders are built differently from birth. They are genetically gifted. These men don&#8217;t need as much rest to recover after training. Don&#8217;t think that we can use their methods of training.</p>
<p>If you want to gain muscle the right way, AND you don&#8217;t want to hurt yourself, you can&#8217;t overtrain. In fact, you probably should cut back on your training if you&#8217;re trying to mimic what those &#8220;bodybuilder&#8221; type guys do.</p>
<p>You should begin to see results in about eight weeks if you follow just a couple of simple rules.</p>
<p>1. The first rule is, take it easy. Don&#8217;t think about what others lift, and instead just focus on yourself. What you need to do is challenge yourself for yourself and work on your larger muscle groups. That&#8217;ll make you more efficient in your workouts, because you will hit more muscle groups with one type of exercise. Squats are one good way you can do this.</p>
<p>2. Additionally, train just a couple of times a week, perhaps three or four days if you feel up to it. At minimum, though, take a day off between workouts and focus on how you feel. When you train intensely, you are in essence retraining your nervous system, not just your muscles. So even if your muscles recover, your nervous system may not have.</p>
<p>With your nervous system, for example, you&#8217;re not going to make any gains if you punish it with more training when it hasn&#8217;t yet recovered. You&#8217;re not going to build more muscle by more training in this situation, in other words. So with every training session, take at least a day off, sometimes two or even three. Listen to your body and do what it tells you to.</p>
<p>If you try this for a short time and go back to the old way of training because you think the above doesn&#8217;t work, think again. If you&#8217;ve been using other workout programs and haven&#8217;t found them effective enough, try something different. Maybe it&#8217;s time to look at things in a different way.</p>

<p>How does a body like Terminator sound like? Impossible? Think again. If you are ready and willing to undergo a serious bodybuilding workout with physically demanding weight lifting programs it can be done. Be forewarned though, this is no walk in the park. Your body will be pushed to its limits. If you can handle it, then read on to see how you can turn from Crushee to Crusher in just a matter of time.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s start with the chest-what lady can resist a broad, muscular torso on a guy? Make the most out of your exercise with sufficient warm up and stretching. This stimulates the blood flow to the muscles, cushioning it for the hard training up ahead.</p>
<p>Begin with 15 reps of light weights. As you develop strength, increase from 2 sets to three with higher weight loads done on the bench press and dumbbell flyes. Decide on the weight by using the load that will exhaust your muscle completely by the 8th rep. Incline the bench to a 25 to 30 degree angle to emphasize the upper chest. After your chest workout, follow with training your arms. Again, start with lower weights and move up as you go along.</p>
<p>You cannot go wrong with the crunches; it is still the best way to sculpt the stomach muscles. Watch that you execute with the proper form, that is, arms across your chest instead of under your neck. One sometimes tends to pull from the neck instead of using the abdominal muscles when performing this exercise. Include leg raises to target the lower abs. Exercise the obliques by holding on weights on each hand and with deliberate movements, bend from side to side. Do not rush as it can lead to future lower back problems.</p>
<p>The back is one of the most important muscle groups to develop because we use frequently even while working out the other muscles or in carrying stuff in our regular days off the gym. A beginner&#8217;s back workout program includes chin ups, pull ups and dead lifts. As you move up to higher levels, alternate with barbell shrugs, lat pull downs, upright rows (for the upper back); bent over barbell rows, hyperextensions (for the lower back); and one arm dumbbell rows, seated rows (for the middle back).</p>
<p>The shoulders are the body parts most challenging to work out. Use the seated shoulder press, military press exercise, lateral raises and the machine press to target this muscle group. Start with a couple of warm up sets with weights that are 50% of what you normally use. Never exercise the triceps before the shoulders.</p>
<p>Training the leg muscle group is physically grueling but fortunately, results come without much of a problem. The fundamental bodybuilding workout for this is the squat. Squats exercise almost every area of the legs effectively. Include other drills like leg press, leg curls, calf raises, lunges and hamstring exercises-you want sturdy legs to carry the weight of a powerful and muscular body.</p>
<p>Weight lifting programs give us an opportunity to exercise not just our muscles but our grit and determination to accomplish difficult undertakings. At the end of the day you not only take home a fit and muscular physique; you get a champion&#8217;s heart that will take you anywhere in life.</p>

<p>From Greek gods to Hollywood action heroes, the symbol of ultimate strength and virility are muscles, muscles and more muscles. Don&#8217;t just try to live up to seemingly impossible standards&#8211;do it. There are ways to build muscle fast and if you&#8217;re up for it, this article is for you.</p>
<p>Great bodybuilding routines rest on three important legs: a high intensity level workout, a right diet and a good rest. A lot of people don&#8217;t know what a huge impact diet and rest can do, but any experienced trainer can attest to the success of their training because of the equal focus they give on all three qualities.</p>
<p>The first thing on our list is training. Every workout session should begin with sufficient warm-up and stretching. Doing so optimizes your body to perform its best and cushions it for the pain it will experience in the next hour or so. Start with lower loads but increase it at you develop your strength and endurance. Keep changing the drills and weights every so often to keep your body on its toes, so to speak.</p>
<p>All you need is a 60 to 90 minute workout done two to four times a week. You can achieve great results through split training-targeting specific muscle groups on certain days. This ensures maximum efficacy for each session. You can do something like this: Monday- chest and abdominal muscles; Wednesday- back and arm muscles; Saturday- upper and lower leg muscles. If you are trying to put on a bulkier frame, keeping cardiovascular training once a week is good enough for now.</p>
<p>This is the easy section on how to build muscle fast-get quality sleep. Because you are only training half the week, make the other days work for you by getting as much rest as you can. When you exercise, you are creating little tears in your muscle tissues and sleep serves to mend these tears. The results are bigger and harder muscles that can better withstand physical strain. Observe those big, muscled trainers who take a break from their bodybuilding; they become bigger in a few weeks. They&#8217;re not as firm but for you who are starting to build up muscle mass, gaining weight is your focus for now.</p>
<p>Eat a balanced diet. Because you need to gain as much weight as possible, get your calories from food rich in protein and carbohydrates. Lean meat, chicken and fish are good sources of healthy food. There are also muscle building supplements in the market that can help add to your required amount of calories and nutrients. Protein shakes also give an added boost in your workout by fueling your body to perform better.</p>

<p>If you do these easy weight workouts, you can create an attractive and well-built chest.</p>
<p>Low Cable crossovers, is another inner pec exercise, the key is the correct amount of tension. High Cable crossover will work the difficult to reach inner Pecs.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s follow with Bench press. Bench press-Wide grip, your wide spaced handling will work the lower pectoral. Bench press-Close grip, this will work the inner Pecs quite well, however the movement will also work triceps and upper chest.</p>
<p>Dips, depending on elbow position, you can work either the inner or the outer Pecs. Dumbbell Flyers works the inner pectoral muscles but you really have to squeeze them together. Alternate this on incline, decline, and flat bench.</p>
<p>These exercises will benefit the chest muscles, and decrease your chances of hitting a plateau, by mixing things up a bit. It is also important for you to understand and appreciate that rest and nutrition are equally important.</p>
<p>Nutrition is just as important as weight lifting when you&#8217;re trying to build muscle. When you lift weights, you are actually tearing muscle tissue. You need to eat carbohydrates and proteins for your body to repair and enlarge your muscles. It is also a good idea to increase your vitamin and mineral intake.</p>
<p>Drinking water is also important for any workout routine. The body needs water in order to deliver nutrients to cells, get rid of wastes, and control bodily temperature. Additionally, water is a protector for all the major internal organs in the body as well as a cushion for joints. Strenuous exercise decreases fluid levels at a rapid rate. Its important to augment your water intake above the recommended daily amount.</p>
<p>Getting an adequate amount of rest is just as important to any other factor when body building. Some product salesperson suggested the thought that sleep is unfavorable to building muscle, claiming that a catabolic phenomenon occurs while at sleep. However it is a false claim by marketers wanting to sell their product on saying that this is where the muscle wastes away. This isn&#8217;t just a baldfaced lie, it may actually result in grave consequences mentally as well as physically.</p>

<p>Constructing a safe and effective routine with a trained professional that produces results quickly is important when a teen as well as an adult starts a bodybuilding workout program.</p>
<p>Once teen athletes get involved in bodybuilding, they develop the discipline and dedication that can be beneficial in any sport. Teenagers with low self esteem or confidence issues may see a remarkable difference after taking up teenage bodybuilding.</p>
<p>Physical benefits that accompany teenage bodybuilding include increased muscular strength and endurance, increased kinesthetic awareness, stronger bones and a reduced risk for weight related illnesses such as high blood pressure and diabetes.</p>
<p>Long after these teenage athletes mature into adults the mental and physical benefits of bodybuilding will continue. Bodybuilding, like most athletics, gives teens something to focus on and helps develop self esteem.</p>
<p>Stunted growth has been a great concern of teenage bodybuilding. This theory has never been proven, plus if teenage bodybuilding is performed correctly under adult guidance, injury chances are significantly less.</p>
<p>The bottom line to weighing the risks and benefits of teenage bodybuilding, as with any sport, is that with proper training and supervision bodybuilding can be a safe and effective way for teens to improve physical health and mental strength. There are safety issues inherent to any sport; however, adult participation and athlete education go a long way in minimizing the risks</p>
<p>A lot of people have asked me: how is teen bodybuilding done right? do you think that teenage bodybuilders should get a professional to train them or is it safe to learn from other teens? Should teen bodybuilders read the latest bodybuilding magazines? Does the train come everyday or just on alternate days? Rely on supplements? When is the appropriate time to start? Concentrate on lifting heavy weights to increase endurance? There are strong ideas on both sides of the teen bodybuilding debate.</p>
