			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When we discover that we are heavier than we want to be, we have a natural inclination to eat less food. We may skip lunch or eat only a tiny amount of our dinner in the hope that if we eat less our body will burn off some of its fat. But that is not necessarily true. Eating less actually makes it more difficult to lose weight.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that the human body took shape millions of years ago, and at that time there were no diets. The only low-calorie event in people&#8217;s lives was starvation. Those who could cope with a temporary lack of food were the ones who survived. Our bodies, therefore, have developed this built-in mechanism to help us survive in the face of low food intake.</p>
<p>When researchers compare overweight and thin people, they find that they are roughly the same number of calories. What makes overweight people different is the amount of fat that they eat. Thin people tend to eat less fat and more complex carbohydrates.</p>

<p>The biggest problem overweight people face nowadays, doesn&#8217;t involve them not knowing how to lose weight, but instead, most people simply don&#8217;t know which diet plan to choose, in that there are just so many different ones out there. Of course, many diets do work for some people, but even so, you need to realize that not all of those diets will work for you.</p>
<p>So, how do you go about finding a diet plan which is capable of helping you lose weight quickly and safely? In order to find a suitable plan you need to take the following three factors into consideration:</p>
<p>1. Has the Diet Got a Proven History? Obviously if a diet plan has worked for other people, then there&#8217;s a good chance that it will work for you as well. When you&#8217;re considering a specific diet plan you should always look for genuine looking testimonials, and remember, if the testimonials are genuine then they would have been written by real people, and as such, they shouldn&#8217;t be written too perfectly.</p>
<p>If the full names of people are shown on the testimonials then of course it makes the testimonials that much more reliable, but because some people may be reluctant give their proper names, this is something you shouldn&#8217;t necessarily expect.</p>

<p>2. It Fits Your Personal Style. While many diets may work &#8211; they may not work for you because they don&#8217;t mesh with your personal style. Every person is different and has specific preferences, needs and experiences in the weight loss arena.</p>
<p>A good example of this would be if a person detested eating meat and dairy products, and yet they chose to go on a low carb diet. Likewise, if you cannot bear the thought of feeling hungry throughout the day, then you should try to choose a diet plan that focuses on you eating several small meals throughout the course of the day. If for example you lead a very busy lifestyle, then you may want to consider a diet which incorporates ready made meals which come prepackaged.</p>

One of the most important things of all for people going on a diet plan is that they need to remain enthusiastic.</p>
<p>If in your heart you believe that a particular diet plan will not deliver the results you want, then there&#8217;s a good chance that you won&#8217;t lose weight, even if the diet plan is a proven one.</p>
<p>Make sure the diet plan you choose gets you excited and enthusiastic. Perhaps it introduces a totally new concept you&#8217;ve never thought of before. Perhaps you&#8217;re salivating at the ultra-fast results it produces. Or even perhaps you can relate to the written testimonials. It doesn&#8217;t matter as long as it gets you enthusiastic and excited about your weight loss.</p>
<p>So, now you know the three most important factors to keep in mind when choosing a diet plan. Providing you keep these key factors in mind, you can bet your bottom dollar that the diet you&#8217;ve chosen will inevitably allow you to have that dream body you&#8217;ve been wanting for so long.</p>

However, if you really want to stay healthy and lose weight permanently, you&#8217;ll need to find a diet plan that&#8217;s going to support you for the rest of your life.</p>
<p>&#8220;Quick fix&#8221; diets are nothing new, and have been around for a long time, such as for those times when you want to get into a bikini and look good on the beach. However, that&#8217;s where the &#8220;diet industry&#8221; can suck us in.</p>
<p>Every New Year, many of us resolve again and again that we&#8217;re going to lose weight after our holiday binges. So, suddenly, we are bombarded with diets and exercise DVDs, all of which promise that yes, we can have that svelte figure. A few weeks go by, and the diet, too, goes on the shelf; until spring comes around, at least, at which time we want to look good for the beach or to get into our evening gown for the next party.</p>
<p>Instead of doing the same cycles every year, why not go on a &#8220;diet&#8221; that is not only going to produce the results you want, but will give you a way of life that&#8217;s permanent so that the weight comes off and stays off permanently? Why not set things up so that you never have to look at another &#8220;diet&#8221; again? Metabolism is in fact one of the most important elements in our diets, but many of us don&#8217;t really understand what that means. So, we make these four major mistakes when we try to &#8220;diet&#8221;:</p>
<p>1. Trying to &#8220;spot reduce.&#8221; In fact, you can&#8217;t lose fat from just one area. Even though so-called infomercial &#8220;experts&#8221; may tell you otherwise, the only way to lose weight is to do a workout that utilizes and affects your entire body.</p>
<p>2. Use diet pills to lose weight. These tablets slow down the metabolism by lowering the appetite to lose weight. This is short term result with detrimental effects on your long term wellbeing.</p>
<p>3. Restriction of too many calories. With this there is a reduction in metabolism but any weight loss is actually from fluids, muscle and organ mass. The loss of muscle will reduce the metabolism and therefore the body&#8217;s ability to burn calories and on stopping the low calorie intake you will regain weight and possibly put on more than before.</p>
<p>4. Thinking of metabolism as a &#8220;one factor only&#8221; element. Metabolism isn&#8217;t just affected by one area of your lifestyle; in fact, your sleeping habits, your gender, the amount of muscle mass you have, and your age, among other characteristics, affect it.</p>
<p>If you truly want to lose weight and be successful at it, you have to take everything above into consideration and put it in proper perspective. First, consider your health when it comes to your diet. &#8220;Quick weight loss&#8221; fad diets are never going to work for long, so instead, set up a healthy eating plan for yourself that will support you for the rest of your life, and give you good health.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So, you probably already know the importance of exercise. You might even already be doing it, but you&#8217;re beginning to get bored with your program. Exercise can be monotonous if you are always doing the same thing. Also, lots of programs have everything exactly listed out in the most efficient way to reach your goals in the shortest quantity of time, so you finish up doing a similar thing all of the time, and it might not even be something that you truly enjoy doing.</p>
<p>If you stop and think what you are telling yourself by trying to do the most productive exercise schedule when you don&#8217;t enjoy it, you&#8217;ll realize you want to change. The unspoken message is that you just wish to meet a certain goal and then you can stop doing it. Seriously, why would you continue doing something you didn&#8217;t enjoy for the rest of your life? You have to find out how to make exercise more fun. Then you&#8217;ll enjoy it more, maybe even look forward to doing it, and you will not have to worry about how effective it is. You&#8217;ll have something you will stick to thru your life because now you&#8217;ve modified it from a dull, boring task into a fun, pleasurable way of life.</p>
<p>Try finding pretty parks to jog in. Changing up the scenery regularly can make your jog more pleasurable. Instead of staring at the clock when you run, try running a certain distance. Find someone to run with and start adding in sprints to switch it up. Listen to good music and change it occasionally, so you are able to actually get into a good straightforward mindset.</p>
<p>Get a cycle and go for bike rides. Find trails to use that make it more engaging and delightful. Get your folks to go with you and make it a fun family outing. Pack a picnic and ride to a picnic spot. Spend a few hours eating, lying on a blanket, or playing Frisbee together and then ride back home.</p>
<p>Get have some fun with your kids! Try playing tag, football, or other games that need physical activity. Play games they want to play, and dig into it. Take them to a park and get on the monkey bars with them. Do some pull ups while you&#8217;re there. Try to do things that make exercise part of your folks life. It can be really fun and rewarding and take the monotony out of your routines.</p>

Interval training is performed by doing a short, intense interval at close to your maximum effort followed by a longer rest interval. This sequence is repeated eight to ten times. Interval training on the treadmill is a great way to get started. Warm-up for two to three minutes at a low intensity level. Then increase speed of treadmill so that you are at about 80% to 90% of your maximum effort for thirty seconds. Decrease the intensity to 20% of your maximum for two minutes. Repeat this sequence eight times.</p>

There are several companies that offer women fat blocking and weight loss pills; however, the weight you may lose with these methods is usually only water.</p>
<p>To achieve 6 pack abdominals, you have to realize that it takes more than secret pills and crunches. You will need to know the top exercises for your abs, cardio exercises that help burn fat most effectively and diets that help you keep the fats off. </p>
<p>Top exercises for abdominals</p>
<p>Most people believe the traditional crunch is the best ab flattening exercise; however this could not be further from the truth. These exercises are not as effective as once thought. Instead, try bicycle crunches, captain leg raise, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, vertical leg crunches and the ab rocker exercises. As you can see, the standard crunch is nowhere on this list.</p>
<p>Cardio exercises that burn fat</p>
<p>Next; you will need to learn how to perform cardio exercises that help you to keep the fat off. If you are thinking of long distant runs, you are wrong again. Long distant runs are not the best way to lose fat. When it comes to exercise, intensity is the key. By doing short sprint sets, you will be enjoying better fat loss benefits from a higher intensity workout. Other high intensity cardio exercises include skipping and stair climbing.</p>
<p>Diets low in fat</p>
<p>Diet plays a major role in achieving those desired six pack abs. No matter how affective your workout is, it won&#8217;t gain you a six pack unless you control the fat level in your diet. Eliminating sugar and replacing it with high fiber is a great start in keeping fat levels low. In addition, whole meals and a multivitamin are additional aids in a low fat diet.</p>
<p>So, as you can see all three elements are needed in order to achieve those hot, sexy six pack abs. A great cardio workout, combined with the proper ab exercises and a low fat, high nutrition diet will get you on your way to a taut, sexy tummy.</p>

<p>Bodybuilding is not just about working hard on workouts. Working hard is important but you have to work smart as well to get more benefits out of your commitment. An area often ignored by beginning bodybuilders is their diet. Diet is an area where you have to be smart. Take a cue from professional bodybuilders and learn basic nutritional guidelines to enhance your results. </p>
<p>Successful bodybuilders and athletes have to consistently watch their diets and are often responsible for mapping out a nutrition program that works with their lifestyle, workout routine and their tastes and preferences. If you don&#8217;t take charge of what you&#8217;re eating every day, you may be setting yourself up for failure with your bodybuilding program. Here are some diet and nutrition essentials you need to keep in mind when your goal is to increase muscle mass:</p>
<p>1. Know that some foods are more nutritious than others. It is not enough to monitor your calorie intake; you also have to be conscious about the source of the calories. 200 calories from oatmeal looks the same as 200 calories from sweetened cereals. However, you may not know that oatmeal is the healthier choice. Sweetened cereals will give you energy, but the energy it gives is quickly burned by the body making you crave for more food. The calories from oatmeal are steadily absorbed by the body giving you a constant supply of energy. In addition, oatmeal provides more than just energy to your body because it is also a good source of fiber and protein. </p>
<p>2. Get the timing right. Eating between 5-6 small meals at regular intervals throughout the day will keep your blood sugar levels in check and also prevent the overwhelming feelings of hunger. Controlling your appetite will become a natural process, so you&#8217;ll rarely be in a situation where you&#8217;re ravenous for food. As your body adjusts to this schedule, you&#8217;ll go through your days without feeling hungry all of the time, and selecting the right nutrient-rich foods (see #1) will help you maintain the energy level you need for your intensive workouts throughout the week.</p>
<p>3. Make the most of pre and post-workout &#8216;windows&#8217;. What you eat immediately before and after your workout is especially important for bodybuilding or fitness success, because your body will readily absorb or burn up the fuel you provide during these &#8216;peak&#8217; times. Eat a high-protein snack before your workout with some healthy carbs to give you enough energy to get through the session. Eat a high-protein meal after your workout, a time when muscles are ready to absorb every calorie that you ingest. By eating the right foods at the right times, you&#8217;ll actually support your body during the high-stress time of the workout, and then in the recovery and recuperation periods afterwards. Plan your meals accordingly to maximize your results!</p>
<p>Understanding some key principles of nutrition and diet is essential for increasing muscle mass and fine-tuning your results. Take the time to learn these three key principles as you develop a solid training program that works for you.</p>
