Our culture has moved from “eating to live” to “living to eat,” which explains in part why so many of us struggle with weight issues today. Fad diets are quick to promise fast results if we restrict ourselves to a single food or cut calories to a dangerous level for the sake of leaner bodies.

Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Healthy eating begins with learning how to “eat smart”-it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat. Your food choices can reduce your risk of illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes as well as defend against depression.
This is a very debatable question, but your health is what is important. Do you add additional activity to your lifestyle, or do you change your eating habits, eating a well-balanced diet?
What would you say if you were asked to share the hardest challenge you have had to overcome in regards to weight loss? Maybe it has been difficult for you to give up fast foods, or maybe you find counting calories to is boring, or maybe you dread exercising. No matter what your answer is, I can assure you there is something harder.
Losing weight permanently is a goal we all want and work to achieve. Just how can we achieve it? We lose, gain, lose, gain, like a yo-yo, and we seem to gain back more than we lose each time.
