			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;ve been working out for a while, i&#8217;m sure you will understand what I will talk about. It sometimes happens that, after some really heavy sets of your routine, you start to have a really amazing feeling. Your muscles feels tight and engorged with blood. And when you look in the mirror they look full and vascular. What you get is nothing but a &#8220;pump&#8221;. And as I told you, if you have ever had one, you&#8217;ll agree with me it&#8217;s really, really great (or maybe you agree with Arnold who said it&#8217;s like having an orgasm).</p>
<p>So, what&#8217;s exactly a pump? It&#8217;s nothing but the tight, blood-congested feeling in a muscle after it has been intensely trained. Is the feeling that you get as blood becomes trapped inside your muscle. And it&#8217;s a great, great feeling. But you don&#8217;t go to the gym and perform all that effort for hours just for that feeling. And that feeling does not guarantee you&#8217;ll achieve your gain muscle goal.</p>
<p>A pump is in no way indicative of a successful workout. It doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s bad for you to achieve one during your session, it&#8217;s simply a natural result of intense weight training. But if you focus your workout in getting a pump instead of muscle gain, you are making a huge mistake, and it will tax you.</p>
<p>Which is better, the pump or the feeling of totally exhausting your muscles to the point of failure when it is nearly impossible to pick up a pencil? Good question because I can promise that one is asked a lot. People love the feeling of being pumped and the blood flowing through their muscles. &#8220;Dude, this will give you a crazy pump!&#8221;, a guy in the gym tells to another one in the gym, thinking there&#8217;s no better way to make their muscles grow.</p>
<p>A pump does not build muscle. If muscle pumps meant muscle growth, then super light weight, ultra high rep programs would be the most effective way to grow. But overloading and giving your body a reason to grow does. It&#8217;s just a way to keep you training. Just that. If you really want to measure your achievements all you have to do is to keep a notebook and write down some numbers..</p>
<p>This is the way it should be: if you keep a record of your workouts and week after week you are increasing the weight you lift, if you can perform some extra reps, you are in your way to that huge muscles you desire, even if you were far to achieve a pump. Remember that pump blood into your muscle tissue is not the goal.</p>
<p>Building muscle mass and strength is all about training with 100% intensity on every given set and then striving to improve from week to week. If you are able to consistently achieve this, your muscle size and strength will increase faster than you ever thought possible, with or without a pump.</p>

<p>There are lots of muscle building programs out there, and chances are, you want to gain muscle as quickly as you can.</p>
<p>Most often, the rule of thumb is, &#8220;More is better.&#8221; In other words, practice more, and you&#8217;ll get better at what you do with better results. However, with gaining muscle, most of us need to be working out less, not more.</p>
<p>You may pick up a bodybuilding magazine, for example, only to have bodybuilders tell you that you have to train every day if you want to have the physique they do. So erroneously, we think if we follow their advice, we will be big, too.</p>
<p>Unfortunately this is a mistaken assumption. Bodybuilders are built differently from birth. They are genetically gifted. These men don&#8217;t need as much rest to recover after training. Don&#8217;t think that we can use their methods of training.</p>
<p>If you want to gain muscle the right way, AND you don&#8217;t want to hurt yourself, you can&#8217;t overtrain. In fact, you probably should cut back on your training if you&#8217;re trying to mimic what those &#8220;bodybuilder&#8221; type guys do.</p>
<p>You should begin to see results in about eight weeks if you follow just a couple of simple rules.</p>
<p>1. The first rule is, take it easy. Don&#8217;t think about what others lift, and instead just focus on yourself. What you need to do is challenge yourself for yourself and work on your larger muscle groups. That&#8217;ll make you more efficient in your workouts, because you will hit more muscle groups with one type of exercise. Squats are one good way you can do this.</p>
<p>2. Additionally, train just a couple of times a week, perhaps three or four days if you feel up to it. At minimum, though, take a day off between workouts and focus on how you feel. When you train intensely, you are in essence retraining your nervous system, not just your muscles. So even if your muscles recover, your nervous system may not have.</p>
<p>With your nervous system, for example, you&#8217;re not going to make any gains if you punish it with more training when it hasn&#8217;t yet recovered. You&#8217;re not going to build more muscle by more training in this situation, in other words. So with every training session, take at least a day off, sometimes two or even three. Listen to your body and do what it tells you to.</p>
<p>If you try this for a short time and go back to the old way of training because you think the above doesn&#8217;t work, think again. If you&#8217;ve been using other workout programs and haven&#8217;t found them effective enough, try something different. Maybe it&#8217;s time to look at things in a different way.</p>

<p>Beginners at weight lifting might feel like they are missing something when they are trying to learn how to build their pecs. They do all of the same exercises they see other people doing and still have trouble getting their pecs built up. This is because not everything is about the exercise itself.</p>
<p>1. Eating the proper types of food is just as important as doing the necessary exercises. This is because without certain nutrients, muscles can&#8217;t be properly built. Protein is what muscle is made up of and therefore to build the muscle, you need to be eating a lot of protein. Carbohydrates are also a big help because they will provide your body more energy for the workout.</p>
<p>Overall health is a big part of how to build pecs so having a well balanced diet will be useful. Along with eating a lot of protein a person should be eating many fruits and vegetables. The body will be able to focus on building new muscle as long as it is healthy.</p>
<p>2. The second tip is to stretch. If you&#8217;re trying to build up your pecs, you should be doing stretches which get the upper chest ready to do some tough work. You can do something as easy as doing a push-up motion while standing, to stretch out your pectoral muscles.</p>
<p>People should avoid overworking their pecs for the same reason they should stretch. Too much activity on the pectoral muscles can strain the muscles causing them damage as opposed to making them stronger. It could also lead to overly pronounced pecs which some people call &#8220;man boobs.&#8221;</p>
<p>3. You need to do the correct types of exercises if you want to build your pectorals. Exercises like push-ups effectively work the pecs and can be done without a gym. If you have access to a weight lifting bench, you can do bench presses as well.</p>

<p>When you picture some of the great male figures in history, movies or sports, what is one of their most noticeable features? There&#8217;s nothing nicer than a great set of pecs to really make a man get noticed. Large pectorals make a guy look imposing, confident, and very fit, maybe more so than well-developed abs or arms.</p>
<p>You might be asking what&#8217;s the secret of getting big pecs? Well, there isn&#8217;t one simple method that will promise that you&#8217;ll suddenly have huge pecs. Building your pecs will require a lot of work and time to get the to the point you want them to be. You will probably have to do more than just changing your workout routine, however, that plays a vital role.</p>
<p>The first thing that you should do if you want to build pecs is to eliminate straining yourself. So many people think that if they work their pecs to exhaustion, they&#8217;ll build up quickly. However, it can actually be very detrimental to do this.</p>
<p>If you already have a heavy work out routine, then you&#8217;re not going to improve your pecs by just working out more. You&#8217;ll only burn yourself out and likely harm your muscles without seeing any positive gain. Instead, it&#8217;s better to figure out how to increase the efficiency of your work out.</p>
<p>You can do this by converting from the traditional press movements and concentrating more on exercises that isolate specific areas in the pecs for the most gain. Flys are an excellent way to do this, as they provide a more complete workout than straight presses. To do a fly, simply take a pair of dumbbells and lift them up parallel to your body. You can do this in a number of different positions, from standing to flat on a bench to inclined.</p>
<p>&#8220;How to get impressive pecs&#8221; isn&#8217;t a question that can be answered by any one change. Modifying your diet and making other positive lifestyle changes can also be important for building up this group of muscles.</p>
